Bike to School Week 2025
Running June 2nd to June 6th, Bike to School Week invites Halton Region students – and students from all across Canada – to celebrate the joy and possibilities of riding a bike! Students can also participate by actively travelling to school in other ways like scootering or walking!
Communities that embrace active school travel help their kids lead healthier lifestyles and improve their school performance, while also reducing traffic and pollution and making school zones safer for vulnerable road users. Also, being able to bike to school with your friends is just plain fun!
Register Your School Now!
Halton Region schools are encouraged to register for Bike to School Week using the online registration form.
Registrants will receive resources and materials to help organize bike-friendly events in a school environment.

Active School Travel Student Survey
Halton elementary and secondary schools are encouraged to participate in our Active School Travel Student Survey below every day of Bike to School Week!
This simple hands-up style classroom survey will take just minutes to complete each morning. The survey will consist of school staff asking students to raise their hand when asked if they used various modes of travel to get to school that day.
Schools who participate from June 2nd to 6th have the chance to win prizes based on survey participation per grade per school. Prizes include bike racks and other helpful biking resources for schools, and student backpacks filled with awesome stuff to help you on your active travel journey, including water bottles, bike bells, reflectors – and more!
Please note that only school staff can complete this survey. Please contact planning.services@hcdsb.org if you are a staff member and you have forgotten your school’s administrator code.
